Referring directly for Radiofrequency Ablation

You can refer directly for RFA as long as certain criteria are met:

1. Morton’s Neuroma has been confirmed via imaging (US or MRI); and
2. Your patient’s pain is caused by it.

If these criteria are met, please indicate this in your referral (include a copy of the US or MRI report).

If these criteria are not met, a consultation with Dr Bell will be required. This is a full assessment that will include diagnostic ultrasound.
